  1. Fascinating. Is the window wall paneled with metal? I have an old porcelain claw-foot tub, but I have never seen a metal one. Wonderful image!

    • Yes, it looks like mini-corrugated iron. A larger version of this metal is usually used as fencing or roofing, sometimes it does make it inside the house.

      I can only assume that during this era, it was a material that the family would have had on hand so they used it so it the timber walls didn’t get water damage.
